Welcome to my D&D Creator Prestige Class page! Creator You don't bring scrolls to a battle of wands, silly boy! The party has been in several battles, is weary and tired, even the fighters are now running for their lives. Here the creator shines, pulling out a wand, a ring, an amulet, a rod. With almost limitless rescources the creator brings a fury of almost hellfire proportions against his enemies. Whereas most mages are concerned with gaining the most spells, the creator follows a different path, realizing that far too often that most mages run out of spells too quickly, or are plagued with not having the right spell for the job today. Hit Die: d4. Requirements To qualify to become a creator, a character must fulfill all the following criteria. * Knowledge(Arcana): 8 ranks or * Knowledge(Religion): 8 ranks. * Feat: Craft Wonderous Item Skills The creator's class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Alchemy (Int), Concentration (Con), Craft (Int), Knowledge (all skills taken individually) (Int), Profession (Wis), Scry (Int, exclusive skill), and Spellcraft (Int). See PHB Chapter 4: Skills for skill descriptions. Skill Points as Each Level: 2 + Int modifier Class Features All the following are class features of the creator prestige class. * Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A creator gains no additional proficiency in any weapon or armor. * Spells per Day: At 1st level and every other level there after is gained, the character gains new spells per day as if she had also gained a level in a spell casting class she belonged to before adding the prestige class. She does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained (improved chance of controlling or rebuking undead, metamagic or item creation feats, hit points beyond those she receives from the prestige class, and so on), except for an increased effective level of spellcasting. If a character had more than one spellcasting class before becoming a creator, she must decide to which class she adds the new level for purposes of determining spells per day. * Bonus Feat: At 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, and 8th levels, the creator gets a bonus feat. These feats must be drawn from the list of item creation feats. * Apprentice Creator (Ex): At 3rd level, the creator has become so proficient in creating magical items, that creating items doesn't task her as much as it used to. The creator only expends 3/4 of the normal experience cost of creating an item. This XP cost reduction only applies to the XP base cost of the item. Any spells used requiring XP expendature, still require the full amount. * Journeyman Creator (Ex): At 5th level, the creater has become so adept in creating magical items, that the XP cost drops to 1/2. See rules for Apprentice Creator. * Overlap Mastery (Ex): At 6th level, the creater has mastered the magical auras of items. She can tune the auras of rings and amulets (if she has the prequisite feats) she creates, doubling the normal quantity that can be worn to 2 amulets, and 4 rings. When the first item is being created, she must specifically declare that she is tuning the item, other wise the item is created normally. When she creates the second item, she must again declare that she is tuning the item, and must have the first item, to properly attune this one to. An attuned item, is only attuned to its mate, and can't be used in conjunction with any other item, even if the other item is tuned. So if Mialee creates a tuned ring of protection, a tuned ring of natural armor, and a tuned ring of sustenance (attuned to the ring of natural armor), the ring of sustenance won't work with the ring of protection. Using this ability cancels the effects of Apprentice Creator, Journeyman Creator, Master Creator, and Transubstantiation for the creation of this item (ie. the creator must pay full XP cost himself for creating a tuned item). * Master Creator (Ex): At 8th level, the creater has mastered the art of creating magical items, so much so, that the XP cost drops to 1/4. See rules for Apprentice Creator. * Transubstantiation (Ex): At 10th level, the creater is able to substitute someone else's XP for item base creation cost. The subject must be willing, or the item creation automatically fails.
